SOS did an amazing job. I think when you are spending your money, you have some expectations that can be pretty high and SOS met and exceeded them. I ask a lot of questions and they were always quick and detailed to answer. We had some points in the project that options were available and they always clearly explained and every suggestion they made was spot on and our patio looks great. Jeff and Jay led a great job and even the guys working were super kind and left the site clean daily and the end result is more than we could have hoped for. Can’t recommend them enough.

I had called 5 different contractors and Jeff at Superior Outdoor was the only one to return my call. He was on time for the estimate appointment and communicated clearly and promptly. We had some back and forth since my property is considered a historic home and Winston-Salem has rules that you have to follow for changes to historic homes. Once we got through the permit review process, Jeff and his team scheduled the tear down of the old rotten deck. They got the old deck out of the way and did a good job cleaning up the debris. The construction crew came the next week and built the new deck. I would give them a 98/100 with a few small details that I think got missed (like dumping the footer dirt onto the steps leading to the back yard). But, they get extra bonus points for repairing the siding which I was not expecting. So overall, we had a great experience and the price was fair. If you are another contractor reading this review, call prospective customers back. That is how you win business!

Superior Outdoor Spaces did an amazing job with my deck upgrade. I replaced my previous wood deck with Trex composite decking and couldn’t be happier. From the time of demo up to the completion the team was prompt, professional and provided high quality work. They completed my deck much faster than anticipated which was great considering 4th of July weekend was approaching! Jeff was great with communicating with me throughout the process and made sure we were aware of any/all updates. Superior Outdoor Spaces completed a multi-faceted job for us--replacing our wood deck with Trex, our wood rails with aluminum, installing a concrete and brick patio at the yard level, and creating a cedar pergola-style privacy wall on one end of our deck. Jeff was very responsive and professional from our first contact through the completion of our project. I had no trouble getting ahold of him or our project manager any time I had a question or requested an update on our timeline. We had several different crews working on our project (deck demo, deck installation, patio installation, painters) and each one did great work, was polite and receptive to questions and concerns, and was willing to talk things over with me as the project progressed. We had a design concern during the project, and Jeff and his crew made adjustments and corrections to fit with my vision. I have already recommended Superior Outdoor Spaces to neighbors and friends, and would definitely use them again for future projects.

I secured Superior to convert my deck to a screened-in porch. We were exceptionally pleased with our end result. Jeff Kiddy, the Operations Manager, is phenomenal. I consulted him in the Fall and he immediately came over to give me an estimate. He itemized the cost and availed himself to all my questions. Every time I had a question, He responded promptly. I had gotten 2 other estimates and Superior offered a much better price. We started the construction in Feb and we were kept abreast of every step of the process with texts and calls. All of the contractors were very professional and provide quality work. Any issues in construction (which were very small), were quickly addressed by Jeff, and fixed. We were exceptionally pleased with the final product and the process. Our screened-in porch is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We hired Superior Outdoor Spaces to construct a patio cover to provide shade for our part of our patio and sunroom from the hot western summer sun. Jeff Kiddy was readily available to answer my questions during the project development and estimating process. We communicated primarily by text with phone conversations as needed. He responded to all of my questions and concerns prior to signing a contract very quickly even during the evenings. Superior Outdoor Spaces’ contract terms were fair with 50% upon signing the contract and remainder upon completion.

Jeff was great to work with and personally checked on each phase of the work. After the project started, he always responded to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. His framing crew did an excellent job of building a solid roof and support posts. The framing crew develop a unique solution for incorporating our gutter downspout within the roof construction. The person, who did the shingles, vinyl ceiling, and metal trim work, did excellent work and conquered some challenging shingles and metal trim work with unique ideas. The painters were alsoexcellent. Each of the crews left the work area as clean as possible at the end of the work day. Jeff was on site at the start of each phase to make certain the crew understood what needed to be done and personally inspected each phase when it was completed to make certain it was done correctly and to his and our satisfaction. Our project took 4 construction days. Jeff kept me informed of what was to be done and when. He even checked with us about where to place materials in our driveway so we could make certain to be able to get our car in and out of the garage. At the completion of the project, Jeff asked if the patio cover met our expectations and it certainly did.

We were very impressed with the quality of the work by Superior Outdoor Solutions and the attention to construction details. It was a pleasure to work with Jeff Kiddy and his company. I would not hesitate to hire them again for another project or recommend them to our family or neighbors. They did excellent work at a fair price!
