Superior Outdoor Spaces completed a multi-faceted job for us, replacing our wood deck with Trex, our wood rails with aluminum, installing a concrete and brick patio at the yard level, and creating a cedar pergola-style privacy wall on one end of our deck. Jeff was very responsive and professional from our first contact through the completion of our project. I had no trouble getting ahold of him or our project manager any time I had a question or requested an update on our timeline. We had several different crews working on our project (deck demo, deck installation, patio installation, painters), and each one did great work, was polite and receptive to questions and concerns, and was willing to talk things over with me as the project progressed. We had a design concern during the project, and Jeff and his crew made adjustments and corrections to fit with my vision. I have already recommended Superior Outdoor Spaces to neighbors and friends and would definitely use them again for future projects.

Superior Outdoor Spaces completely refurbished an existing screened porch and deck, including vinyl wrapping posts and beams, composite deck floors and railings, and replacement screens, The SOS craftsmen were professional and did quality work. The porch looks great inside and outside, and I’m sure we will enjoy it for many years.

I had called 5 different contractors, and Jeff at Superior Outdoor Spaces was the only one to return my call. He was on time for the estimate appointment and communicated clearly and promptly. We had some back and forth since my property is considered a historic home and Winston-Salem has rules that you have to follow for changes to historic homes. Once we got through the permit review process, Jeff and his team scheduled the tear down of the old rotten deck. They got the old deck out of the way and did a good job cleaning up the debris. The construction crew came the next week and built the new deck. I would give them a 98/100 with a few small details that I think got missed (like dumping the footer dirt onto the steps leading to the back yard). But they get extra bonus points for repairing the siding which I was not expecting. So, overall, we had a great experience, and the price was fair. If you are another contractor reading this review, call prospective customers back. That is how you win business!
I secured Superior Outdoor Spaces to convert my deck to a screened-in porch. We were exceptionally pleased with our end result. Jeff Kiddy, the operations manager, is phenomenal. I consulted him in the fall, and he immediately came over to give me an estimate. He itemized the cost and availed himself to all my questions. Every time I had a question, he responded promptly. I had gotten 2 other estimates, and SOS offered a much better price. We started the construction in February, and we were kept abreast of every step of the process with texts and calls. All of the contractors were very professional and provided quality work. Any issues in construction (which were very small) were quickly addressed by Jeff and fixed. We were exceptionally pleased with the final product and the process. Our screened-in porch is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND SOS to anyone seeking to remodel, add, or upgrade their outdoor spaces.
We hired Superior Outdoor Spaces to extend an existing 19×10’ back porch to a 19×20’ screened in porch with a gabled roof. Jeff Kiddy, owner of SOS, saw our vision and used professionals to build what we pictured. Jeff communicated with us nearly every day during construction to inform us what was going to be done that day and/or the coming days. His contractors were also very communicative when they needed to be, which was very helpful! Our satisfaction with the work being performed was a top priority to Jeff and his contractors as it was being built and, of course, after completing the work. I recently worked with Jeff at Superior Outdoor Spaces to put in a deck at my mom’s house. I got three different quotes and was the most impressed by Jeff’s knowledge and responsiveness. These things matter more than price. The price just needs to be competitive! But anyway, we went a couple weeks of waiting and then everything started clicking. The crew delivered a dumpster and a pile of building material. They tore down the old deck and built a new one three times the size. After the new deck was up, there was a little waiting period for the roofer to get there since we wanted a part of the porch to be covered. After that, the county inspector came out and it was done. The deck ended up nicely done and sturdy. As soon as the major heat of summer is over, I’ll give it a proper staining. Jeff and his crew did a great job and were responsive the whole time. Excellent!
